Whoa! I'm going to Barbados!

Barbados was the furthest south that we travelled on this, our final Caribbean voyage. We were particularly excited about this port of call as Sam’s dad Matt has been playing us “Whoa! I’m going to Barbados” constantly, and suggested all sorts of lame performance ideas, t-shirts and photo ideas.

We caught a cab to a place named “The Boatyard” and spent our time there swimming in the ocean, which was considerably colder than the rest of the Caribbean, though still balmy compared to NZ, and playing on a rope swing and some giant inflatable icebergs. As with the majority of the Caribbean ports, it was rather commercialized and it was easy to use US dollars with a 1:2 conversion to Caribbean dollars.
