Spanish Countryside from the Train |
Our three days in Seville were amazing
and so special. It was so wonderful to get off the ship for a decent patch of
time and escape to be by ourselves, which is a rare thing. It was a pleasant
and relaxing 1 hr 45 min journey by train to and from Seville.

La Plaza Espana |
The Cathedral is a huge structure
which dominates the skyline of the old city. Our favourite spot was the Plaza
de Espana, which consisted of a huge paved courtyard, with a river flowing
through it, surrounded by a palatial structure with a tall tower at each end.
We stayed in a bed an breakfast and
ate piles of tapas and drank litres of Sangria. The temperature was around 37
degrees at the heat of the day, so we either took a Siesta like the rest of the
city or retired to a cool, shady spot in the Parque de Maria Luisa or by the
river.

Puente Del Isabel II |
There
were mounted policemen and horse-drawn carts all over the city. One clever
transport feature that fascinated us was the “bike road”, a mini road painted
green for bicycles, that ran parallel to the footpath. We thought this was a
brilliant idea.
Haha that street is definitely named after me!! :) Hurray I'm famous!! :)
