Cannes, France

We fell in love with the beautiful city of Cannes in the French Riviera.  The day was a balmy sunny summer one and we caught a tender boat into the port for the afternoon.

Old town

We started by enjoying a chocolat chaud and walking around the old town and climbing a hill to a castle at the top and a gorgeous view of the bay in both directions.

The big clock named Brian at the castle

After descending the hill we wandered the beautiful streets and looked into shops. The handmade sweet stores were a particular favourite and we bought an expensive bar of the most incredible nougat imaginable.

Once we had exhausted our tolerance for wandering through shops and around the lovely waterfront area we went for a swim and cooled off before heading back to the ship. We wish we could have visited Cannes more than once!!
