We fell in love with the beautiful city of Cannes
in the French Riviera. The day was a
balmy sunny summer one and we caught a tender boat into the port for the
afternoon.

Old town |
We started by enjoying a chocolat chaud and walking
around the old town and climbing a hill to a castle at the top and a gorgeous
view of the bay in both directions.

The big clock named Brian at the castle |
After descending the hill we wandered the
beautiful streets and looked into shops. The handmade sweet stores were a
particular favourite and we bought an expensive bar of the most incredible
nougat imaginable.

French Carousel at the waterfront |
Once we had exhausted our tolerance for wandering
through shops and around the lovely waterfront area we went for a swim and
cooled off before heading back to the ship. We wish we could have visited
Cannes more than once!!
